PROFESSIONAL JOURNEY

My career began in public accounting, where I developed a strong foundation in financial analysis and strategic planning while serving clients across diverse industries, including healthcare, manufacturing, and banking. Working at esteemed firms such as Peat Marwick Mitchell & Company and Marlin & Edmondson CPAs, I honed my skills in audits, financial management, and business strategy. This invaluable experience paved the way for my future roles in executive leadership.

The most transformative chapter of my career unfolded at Quality Industries, a contract metal fabrication company. Over 24 years, I grew within the organization, starting as Corporate Controller, advancing to Chief Financial Officer, and ultimately leading as President and CEO. Under my leadership, Quality Industries expanded from a single facility to a multi-site operation. I led the implementation of two enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, which streamlined operations and enhanced decision-making capabilities. My expertise in financial and executive management, cost containment, and strategic planning provides invaluable strategies, tools and resources to any organization looking to scale its operations while maintaining a laser focus on quality and efficiency. These initiatives were instrumental in positioning our organization as a preferred supplier to our industry. I spearheaded the company's Six Sigma quality certification which established the organization as a preferred supplier for leading clients such as PACCAR and Schneider Electric.

Leading through adversity became a hallmark of my career. The 2008 economic recession brought unprecedented challenges, with revenues plummeting by more than 60%. I navigated this crisis through innovative financial restructuring, customer base diversification, and the introduction of lean manufacturing processes, helping the company remain profitable while preserving its core team. This period solidified my commitment to fostering resilience and innovation in the face of adversity.
SERVANT LEADERSHIP AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

My approach to leadership centers on servant leadership, which empowers employees and nurtures future leaders. Recognizing the importance of bridging the gap between education and industry, I developed internship programs for high school students, providing them with real-world manufacturing experience. Additionally, I implemented employee safety and incentive programs, significantly reducing workplace injuries and enhancing engagement.

Upon retiring from Quality Industries, I pursued my passion for fine art and photography, while continuing to lead and inspire others as a Certified Executive Coach, Trainer, and Speaker with the John Maxwell Team. I work with organizations and individuals to refine their leadership abilities, overcome challenges, and communicate effectively.

My leadership extends beyond business, encompassing community service and nonprofit work. As a Board Member and Treasurer for Villages of Five Oaks and City Team Leader for Living Sent Ministries, I applied my leadership skills to initiatives that support community growth and development. ​
